*this is not the exact plane I was on, just a plane overview
It wasn't just flying with the lotus, I flew in style. Here, we will walk you through the feeling of flying in business class with Vietnam Airlines. It wasn't a long journey, approximately 2 hours from KLIA to Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi but it was most certainly a comfortable one.
The Goldern Lotus is the logo used by Vietnam Airlines. It symbolises Vietnamese ancient culture and their ability to withstand great adversity and retain their unique traditions. The lotus is associated with enlightenment and perfection while gold illustrates high quality and evoke a sense of luxury.

If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure I was on their Airbus 321 aircraft (I may be wrong, didn't really paid attention on which aircraft I was on. Forgive me, I will be more attentive in the future) which offers a home-like seat with seat pitch of about 38 inches to 45 inches and reclining distance of around 7.5 inches to 10 inches. For a petite girl like me, it's extremely spacious. My bigger sized travelmates settled pretty comfortably too. Of course, pillow and blanket are available, you'll have to request.
Greeted warmly by their cabin crews, I was offered a warm hand towel once I got seated. A selection of beverages - champagne, wine, soft drinks and juice – and reading materials – a variety of local newspapers, travel and business magazines - were made available before take off. The usual welcome and safety announcements were presented on screen, drinks and towels were cleared for take off.

As soon as the belt sign goes off, I was handed a menu with a few meal selections. Pretty cool, almost felt like a fine dining restaurant. I had salad with potatoes and salmon for starters, which was extremely tasty, and roasted chicken for main course, which was a bit blant, I had to add some salt for taste. The ultimate awesomesness will have to be their selections of breads, the smell of warm garlic bread and wholewheet buns was just intoxicating. I couldn't help myself but to dig in with my flower-shaped butter. After meal, you have the choice of coffee or tea, they were just average.
Then it's all on your own, they will usually dim the lights. I took a glass of champagne while speed reading through one chapter of my book before I switched my individual lights off and snooze the rest of the journey.
