Previously known as Fortune Hotel, this contemporary yet sophisticated hotel with a French touch was my first stay of my six days five nights Thailand trip. The hotel was small but cozy, all thanks to their staffs being friendly and helpful. I really did felt welcomed from the moment I stepped foot into the building.
Interior design was not compromised. Decorated with many modern elegant sentiments, they somehow managed to make the place looked as grand as other over the top hotels.
I was placed in a spacious vintage Deluxe Room. The floor was wooden instead of the common carpet and a city view that I wasn’t overly excited about because the building opposite was in construction, it was more of an eyesore rather than an interesting one. It was a simple room design with one part of the wall looked as if it was a piece of a big map that they’ve cut off and turn it into wallpaper.
Giving a solo traveller a room with two separate beds is a no-no, even though it’s neat and comfortable to sleep on. They should have at least combined it before I went into the room. Other than that, I do like their white furniture and their white walls. Not too sure if every will like the idea of an open closet but I have no issues with the cupboard being doorless. It makes the whole place looked more spacious.
The restroom was beautifully marbled all over with bathtub and huge counter space that I truly appreciate. Also of course, free wireless Internet that is quite stable and satellite TV that isn’t too shabby.
