Verdict:
Don't be deceived by the modest look of this building, walking into the lobby almost felt as if I was in a different world. From top to bottom, everything was build to impress guests and visitors.
The guestroom (I believed mine was a Superior room), where I stayed for two nights in Saigon, was rather simple. Spacious but extremely down-to-earth. Just your common full set of toiletries, hairdryer, bathtub and LCD TV as most 5-star hotels provide. Nothing to shout about. Since Saigon is the most advanced city in Vietnam, you'll have no fear of wifi deficiency in this hotel. The wifi in my room was speedy and rather stable too.
As humble as the rooms might be, breakfast in this hotel is a feast. I was literally spoiled with choices of good quality food. You can choose to be healthy one day and stuff yourself with all kinds of proteins and carbs on another day. Plus, their local Vietnam ice coffee was just absolutely tasty, little bit sweet but extremely strong in aroma.
Though, if you are looking for some place quiet during the night, this not exactly the place for you as there seems to be a club nearby the hotel. However, the bouncing, repetitive style of music fades away around 11.30pm (Vietnam time). It wasn't much of a nuisance, that particular sound was just faintly feasible to my ears. Plus, the roads were also quite busy until around midnight. City life, nothing much you can do about it.
