Thanks to the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, KTX has up their game and got the new Gyeonggangseon line running just in time for the Olympics. The picture above is an overview of the Rail Transportation Plan from 9th – 26th February 2018 and below are the 4 new KTX stations located in the Olympic cities.
Located at Japogok-ri, Dunnae-myeon, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do. It’s near to Welli Hill Resort, Phoenic Park, and Korean Beef (Hanu) BBQ town.
Located at Songjeong-ri, Jinbu-myeon, PyeongChang-gun, Gangwon-do. This station is pretty awesome as they have prepared a special tour package (Happy 700 Package Tour Bus) only from 1-28 February 2018.
Additionally, they also have free shuttle bus available only during the Olympic and Paralympic period.
Located at Jaesan-ri, Yongpyeong-myeon, PyeongChang-gun, Gangwon-do. This station also has a free shuttle bus provided during the Olympic and Paralympic period. Highly recommended to check out the Buckwheat Flower Field (Bongpyong-myeon) that’s nearby Lee Hyo Seok Memorial Hall.
Located at 176, Yongji-ro, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do. This station is definitely one to not miss out as they have free shuttle buses during the Olympic and Paralympic period that tours to many interesting places such as Ojukheon, Seongyojang, Gangneung Coffee Street, Hassla Art World, and many more.
