#1 A Sea Of Clouds at Onyutoge
Your best chance to take to the skies is early in the morning on cold and clear days in October and November. Mist rises in the south of the forest path in Kutsuki Onyudani, creating an incredible ocean of clouds. The entire scene becomes even more illusory when the crimson fall leaves are at their peak, and it is a popular spot for photography.

#2 Kongourinji Temple
Kongourinji Temple is one of the three Koto Sanzan temples of the Tendai Sect. The main temple is a Japanese style building representative of the Kamakura period (1192 to 1333) and a designated National Treasure. The gardens, which were created from the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573 - 1603) to the middle of the Edo period (1603 - 1868), are a designated place of Scenic Beauty.

#3 Hachiman Moat Festival
Lanterns placed around the town and along the Hachiman Moat bring out a sense refinement and emotion. Various facilities across the town also offer a range of events, including special late-night openings, opportunities to look around town houses, concerts, and stamp rallies.

#4 Okubiwako Parkway
The 18.8km long Okubiwako Parkway features 4,000 cherry trees that bloom in the spring, bringing in many visitors to enjoy the blossoms. There is a nature trail alongside the parkway, making it the perfect spot to also enjoy some hiking. In fall you can enjoy the crimson leaves and the sight of Chikubushima floating in Lake Biwa.
