#1 Daehangno Street (University Street)
This is one for the young people, a less tourist known entertainment district. It’s well populated by many theatres, making this place the root of performing art in Korea. The center of Daehangno, Marronnier Park, has frequent live acts and dance performances by young people. Since there it’s filled with young people, you can find many food joints, cafés, and bars around to enjoy after a good play or live-performance.

#2 Hapjeong-dong Café Street
You can find many cafes popping up in Seoul since the country is pretty big about coffee. If you are a fan of coffee yourself and are looking to do some serious café hopping, check out Hapjeong-dong Café Street. This peaceful, lesser tourist known streets in town is lined with charming and pretty cafes, each with its own unique aura and style as they are mostly individually owned.
Location: Area of Hapjeong-dong and Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
#3 Jangchung-dong Jokbal Street
Jokbal is a must try Korean delicacy that’s also known as steamed pig trotters. It started 50 years ago with two Jokbal restaurants, then followed by more Jokbal restaurants opening around this street in the early 80s. There are many jokbal restaurants in other parts of Seoul but nowhere makes them as authentic as this place.

#4 Bupyeong Haemultang Street
Haemultang is basically Seafood Stew. Imagine a street dedicated to seafood stew! It’s said that 30-40 years ago, there were only 3 restaurants on this street and they managed to get people’s attention for their delicious haemultang. Thus, more restaurants decided to open around them serving quality yet their own unique spin of haemultang. Many Koreans living on Seoul would take the time to travel here just to get their haemultang fix. The good part for tourist is that it’s located in Incheon, thus you could set this as either your first or last meal in Korea since the area is nearby the airport.
