#1 Christmas Wonderland at Hong Kong Disney Land
Celebrate your Christmas at Hong Kong Disneyland with Mickey and the gang as they host the Christmas Ball which kicks off with a quartet of singers, accompanied by dancers, whose energetic performances will put everyone in a holiday mood. Those looking to make their wishes come true can visit Santa Goofy, who will be stationed at the Christmas Post Office on Main Street, U.S.A. where you can swing by to say hello. The Christmas spirit will be in full force with festive decorations and carollers gracing the hotels at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
#2 Ngong Ping’s latest attraction – VR360
Ngong Ping 360 is also eager to welcome guests to experience their Snow Village as well as VR360 which was recently launched in July 2018. The Snow Village will be running from 1 December 2018 to 1 January 2019 and is a picturesque location to create White Christmas memories whether it be lying down to create snow angels or lacing up your skates to hit the outdoor ice-skating rink. In the spirit of Christmas, there will also be carolling activities throughout December for everyone to join in.
Besides that, guests will also be able to immerse themselves in an interactive experience at VR360. Activities include ‘Time Shuttle’, where users will be virtually transported to the Nam Shan Estate to experience the daily lives of Hong Kong people, ‘High Altitude Ropeway Walk’, where guests play as cable car engineers to solve tasks whilst enjoying the unique scenery and attractions of Lantau Island, ‘Hide and Seek with Wuba’, where players will explore downtown Mong Kok along with notable characters from the Monster Hunt 2 film as well as other games.
For guests who would like to experience some breath-taking views first-hand, the trip up to Ngong Ping via the Crystal Cabin Cable Car provides just the treat. The spectacle oversees Lantau Island and provides a beautiful view of the Big Buddha as well as the surrounding landscape.
#3 sky100 Observation Deck
Travellers may visit the sky100 Observation Deck from 12 December 2018 to 1 January 2019 to experience ‘Light Up the Sky’. Here, one can witness Hong Kong’s spectacular Christmas lights along with a 360-degree panoramic view of the skyline and Victoria Harbour from 393 metres above sea level. sky100 will also be launching a new night show in December, by using lighting and visual effects to portray the unique vibes of Hong Kong. Upon arriving at the 100th floor, visitors will be embraced by a romantic atmosphere where they can further enhance the romance by putting up custom messages as part of the light animations. The show will be available daily from 18:30 until closing time, beginning 12 December 2018.
#4 Shopping at Sino Mall and Harbour City
Hong Kong is a city that is synonymous with shopping and these two prime locations are getting in on the vibrant festivities. This Christmas, Sino Mall will be lit with Christmas lights designed by Australian artist, Drew Straker. These lights will take after his signature neon sign-like graffiti art which will also be showcased around China Hong Kong City. Travellers will also get to enjoy shopping at another gorgeous photo-op location will be at the world’s largest video kaleidoscope at Harbour City. Tickets can be redeemed by donating to “The Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation”.
Besides shopping at the mentioned locations above, there will be street markets open during this winter season where you can find all sorts of goods, from artisan foods to hand-made arts and crafts at the White Christmas Street Fair, Taikoo Place; Stanley Plaza Finnish Christmas Wonders and Discovery Bay Christmas Market.
