#1 Imeruli Khachapuri
Also known as Imeretian Khachapuri, is a classic Georgian cheese bread. Literally, it’s a flat bread filled with cheese, that’s all but it’s definitely a local and most foreigners’ favourite dish.
#2 Adjaruli Khachapuri
Another famous dish to try when in Georgia. This is an opened bread filled with cheese, partially cooked egg and a generous chunk of butter on top. You’ll have to mix the fillings well before tearing a piece of bread from the sides and dip into those yummy goodness in the center. Sounds pretty awesome isn’t it!
#3 Khinkali
The most iconic dish when in Georgia. It’s made from water-and-flour dough filled with various meat or non-meat fillings. Looks like a hybrid between Russian pelmeni, ravioli, and a Chinese dumpling. However, there’s a way to eat them, it’s customary to first grab the dumpling by its doughy nipple, bite a small hole in the side and slurp out the juices. Apparently. it’s impolite to eat the knobbly bit of dough though, so you could just leave it on your plate.
