The Korean Tourism came up with an idea to categorise these restaurants to help everyone make appropriate choices. The categories are Halal Certified, Self-Certified, Muslim Friendly, Muslim Welcome, and Pork-Free.

#1 Murree Food
Murree is known as a small Pakistani restaurant that serves authentic halal Pakistan food such as Tandoori, Naan, and Biryani. The unique part about this place is that it also serves halal Korean dishes such as Japchae and Bibimbap.

#2 Marrakech Restaurant
A Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant that seems to be rather popular with their Couscous, Lamb Kabsa, and Moroccan Sandwiches. The awesome part about this place is that it’s located at a walking distance from the must-see Gyeongbokgung Palace when visiting Seoul.

#3 Taj Palace
An Indian restaurant that prides itself in serving halal food. All spices and ingredients, including those used even in the smallest amounts, are halal. The unique part about this place is that they serve a popular buffet meal that are available on Fridays and weekends. Besides that, if you are looking for something vegetarian friendly, this place got you covered.

#4 Ankara Palace
Speaking about buffet, here’s one that serves lunch buffets with Turkish cuisines. This halal restaurant is known for their all Muslim staff with an open kitchen equipped with a Turkish oven. Looking through Trip Advisor, people seem to recommend this place due to its reasonably priced lunch buffet since halal food around Itaewon can be quite expensive.

#5 Sultan Kebab
Another halal Turkish food recommendation but this time, seem to also be enjoyed by local Koreans. Sultan Kebab managed to fuse traditional kebab flavours with the local taste, such as Mackerel kebab, they seem to be quite a hit among Koreans. Plus, it’s an easy take away meal if you want something to go.
