Today, the Star Online reported that a man is forbidden to marry his wet nurse’s daughter.

The couple, Anuar and Julia have been courting for 8 years before finding out that they are “Breast Milk Siblings”. It seems that they found out about this when their parents met, Julia’s mother was the one who realised that she had breast-fed Anuar when he was a baby. 

The couple’s parents were once neighbours before the guy’s family moved to Kuala Lumpur more than 20 years ago. The couple met and fell in love in University without any knowledge about the past.

Islam regards those who shared breast milk from the same source as “siblings’ and they cannot marry each other even if they are not biologically related.

Anuar decided to let Julia go even though it’s very frustrating.
