Merdeka 2018 celebrates a new Malaysia as the air of hope and promise for change continues to invigorate the country. For its part, SOULed OUT will be promoting patriotism among its patrons with deals and give-aways throughout August, culminating in a SOULed OUT style Merdeka Eve party complete with contemporary local performances, games and prizes.
Throughout the Merdeka Month, customers will be given the opportunity to prominently inscribe the things they love the most about Malaysia on the SOULed OUT Merdeka Murals present at all outlets and be rewarded for showing their national spirit with a RM10 SOULed OUT dining voucher.
In keeping with the theme ‘One Heart, One Nation’, SOULed OUT pays homage to Malaysian flavours with the Merdeka Lunch Promotion, which is available at the Sri Hartamas, Ampang, Taman Tun and Kota Kinabalu outlets on weekdays from 12pm-3pm. Patrons who order any Asian main course will enjoy a complimentary local beverage as well as the Malaysian Dessert of the Day.
Featuring tropical fruits like jackfruit, lychee, asamboi, mango and of course the classic sugarcane and lime, SOULed OUT’s locally inspired selection of Mojitos will be available throughout August as part of the Mojito Trio for RM55 at SOULed OUT outlets in West Malaysia and for RM66 at SOULed OUT Kota Kinabalu.
SOULed OUT’s Merdeka celebrations will culminate on August 30 at 8pm with a night of Malaysian culture and entertainment at SOULed OUT Kuala Lumpur (Desa Sri Hartamas). On the eve of The Nation’s 61st birthday, guests will be treated to Malaysian themed performances including a special appearance by ‘Syed Teh Tarik’ and a ‘Roti Canai Terbang’ show. Interactive activities will include a Nasi Lemak speed packing competition and customers will be able to concoct their own personalized recipes at the ‘Ice Kacang’ Bar.
