Acer Malaysia today announced the arrival of the Acer Aspire R 11, the first device in the market pre-installed with the newly released Windows® 10 operating system. At a compact size of 11.6-inch, this latest addition to the Acer convertible family has the smallest form factor in its category. It is uniquely designed with a 360-degree hinge that allows conversions into four modes making content creation and sharing a breeze. 

The Acer Aspire R 11 was designed in a way that the fabric-textured cover is not only visually appealing but also provides a firm grip and is scratch resistant. It will definitely give users a sense of assurance when using the laptop on the go. The 11.6-inch HD touch screen features Zero Air Gap technology for a more vibrant and crispier viewing experience. It is also enhanced with Corning Gorilla Glass for better protection against scratches and a smoother touch experience. The Acer Aspire R 11 also comes with a special anti-fingerprint coating that keeps the screen clean and clear when using the touch screen.

The unique 360-degree dual torque hinge design of the Acer Aspire R 11 allows the laptop to easily transform into four modes – notebook, pad, display and tent, for a more efficient and immersive user experience be it content consumption, creation, or sharing. The incredibly versatile hinge has been further reinforced thanks to its extra torque which acts as a stabilizer for the panel and provides a wobble-free touch experience. In addition, due to the flexible transformative design of the Acer Aspire R 11, the audio channel output will automatically reversed base on screen orientation. 

The Acer Aspire R 11 comes with several new features such as Acer TrueHarmony which takes entertainment to a whole new level, delivering lifelike audio that made movie, music or playing games more enjoyable. The speakers’ uses a paper diaphragm construction which was specifically designed to enhance strength and flexibility in order to provide maximum clarity, volume and a wider range of bass with minimal distortion. The Acer BluelightShield™ feature protects the eyes of the users from possibly damaging blue light. It reduces eye strain by reducing blue light emission from the screen through 3 modes:

* Low Reduction – Reduces blue light emission from the LED backlit module by 18%, as effective as a pair of generic anti-blue-light glasses.

* High Reduction - Reduces blue light emission from the LED backlit module by 36% to better protect the eyes.

* Long Hour Mode – Professionally tuned display by optical engineers to reduce eye strain over extended period.

The Acer Aspire R 11 is also a Skype Certified laptop as it meets the high audio and visual standards required. With this certification, users can communicate instantly with family and friends around the world with uninterrupted high quality audio that allows every word to be clearly delivered with no gap or lag in speech, minimal background noise and zero echoes; on a sharp display that enables crisp images with rich colours for video calls.

Other noteworthy features of the Acer Aspire R 11 is the Acer Touch Tools which allows users to capture, collect, write and share screen data with a touch of a finger. The Precision TouchPad (PTP) feature works to enhance the accuracy and performance of the touchpad navigation, with an intuitive pinch gesture for zooming in and out, tap, swipe, and scroll effortlessly. It is also equipped with palm rejection technology to distinguish between intentional finger gestures or accidental contact with the palm or hand.
