A team of Chinese designers has invented a new kind of umbrella that uses a “force field of air” to keep you dry. It was proposed on Kickstarter website and managed to raise 8 times the projected goal.
Weighing less than 2 pounds, this device works with a motor and a fan powered by a lithium battery. The fan creates a cycle of air that flows through the umbrella’s tip, deflecting drops, forming a protective layer around the user.
Production will begin in September 2015 and most probably delivered by December 2015.
