#1 The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan
Officially opened by the Duke and Duchess of York on 2 October 1988, this garden showcases approximately 4000 species of Australian native plants and it’s part of the Royal Botanic Garden and Domain Trust and home to the Australian PlantBank, a major scientific research and conservation centre for NSW flora.
Offering over 400 hectares of natural woodland, stunning gardens and open spaces, you won’t want to miss the annual Western Australian Paper Daisy Display event where you can expect a bright and colourful display of these Western Australian Natives over spring. The display is free and open to the public everyday during their season from 8am to 5pm. This year, it’s happening from 1 September to 31 October 2019. More info here.

#2 Southern Highlands
Experience a kaleidoscope of tulips carpeting public gardens and premier private gardens during Tulip Time in the Southern Highlands.The 75,000 mass-planted tulips nestled among blossoming mature trees in Corbett Gardens are the centrepiece of the Tulip Time Festival where there is daily live musical entertainment, an array of market stalls and lots of photo opportunities. The Tulip Time Festival happens from the 24 September till 7 October 2019. Opening hours are 9am to 4pm Sunday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm Saturdays (last entry 30 mins prior to closing). #3 Leura Gardens Festival 2019
Situated in the beautiful Blue Mountains 100 kms west of Sydney, the gardens of Leura are famous for their magnificent displays of azaleas, rhododendrons, dogwoods, camellias and other cool climate exotics, as well as flowering annuals, perennials and bulbs. There are big gardens and small gardens in the Festival and each garden has its own distinctive character. The blaze of springtime colour in the gardens attracts visitors from all parts of Australia and overseas. The 2019 Leura Gardens Festival will be held for 6 days over 2 long weekends - 5 October till 7 October and 11 October till 13 October 2019. More info here.

#4 Augmented Reality Cherry Blossom Festival
If you are not much of a garden person, here’s something different for you. Make it Blossom at World Square with an interactive Cherry Blossom Augmented Reality experience. Play Cherry Blossom games in Augmented Reality on the big screen and download the World Square app to walk through the Torii Gate and see World Square explode into a Cherry Blossom spectacle through Augmented Reality. The game happens every 15 minutes from 8am – 10pm daily. #5 Tesselaar Flower Farm
The Tesselaar Tulip Festival began in the spring of 1954, and in 2019, they celebrate their 66th year. It remains a proudly family run business that celebrates the glory of nature. In addition to the flowers, there is live entertainment and market stalls daily, tractor rides, performances, souvenirs, games for all and much more. Last year, they even had a couple organised their wedding shoot during the festival, the results were pretty amazing. They open daily (10am-5pm) throughout the festival and runs a shuttle bus from Lilydale Station on weekends and public holidays. The Tesselaar Tulip Festival is happening this 14 September until 13 October 2019. More info here.
