In conjunction with UNESCO designated ‘World Book Day’ on 3 March 2016, Atria Shopping Gallery (Atria) is bringing a whole host of fun and lively activities to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading through the Atria World Book Fest, happening from 2 March to 27 March 2016.
“World Book Day is marked in over 100 countries and we are glad to bring this worldwide celebration to Atria Shopping Gallery to encourage children of all ages to appreciate reading,” said Catherine Chin, Senior Manager of Leasing and Marketing.
She added that Atria will be partnering with Hope Worldwide Malaysia to hold a book drive to give back to the community as part of the celebration. “The book drive for new or pre-loved children books will take place from now till 27 March. The books can be dropped off at the collection box at Centre Court, Ground Floor and all books will be distributed to various non-profit organisations,” explained Catherine.
Children going to the Atria World Book Fest will be thrilled to discover exciting book-themed decorations, a giant jumping teapot and kiddie car ride at the Centre Court, Ground floor. Meanwhile, Atria is also collaborating with its tenants - Times Bookstores, The Little Tree House, Jungle Gym, Kiddie Casetta and F8 Camera Store, to create a list of 10 must-do fun and educational activities for the children.
