DISNEY WORLD BANS THE USAGE OF SELFIE STICKS ON RIDES
Disney World has forbidden visitors from using selfie sticks on rides at the park, especially the ones that can extend cameras out up to 3 feet (0.9m).
“Guest can bring selfie sticks on rides but must securely store them.” said a spokesman representing Disney World.
This is due to one ride, Thunder Mountain, had a number of incidents in which the ride had to be stopped because of selfie-stick use. Disney World workers posted a “No Selfie Sticks: sign at the Magic Kingdom’s Thunder Mountain Railroad.
