I’m sure by now most of us are familiar with the term ‘capsule hotel’, it’s pretty much a small sleeping space big enough to fit one person. This kind of hotel is extremely popular in Japan and Hong Kong, even Malaysia’s KLIA2 recently launched it too. Now, you can find them in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam!
Kaiteki Hotel is the first to launch capsule hotel in HCMC and it’s located on Bui Vien Street, a backpackers’s area. With 60 capsules, level 4 and 5 for men and level 6 for women, along with ten standard rooms on the other floors. Each capsule is equipped with a flat-screen TV, a USB port, wifi, shelf, sockets and etc.
Though, like most capsule hotel, it’s impossible to guarantee absolute privacy due to the setup of these rooms but most guest understand this matter and will try to avoid disturbing others during their stay. There’s a curtain in front of each capsule and communal bathroom is located near the elevator.
This simple and cheap basic overnight accommodation cost around 6USD to 7USD per night.
For more information, visit Kaiteki Hotel website.
