In the south, Isalo National Park has steep canyons, sandstone pillars and rock pools. On the north coast is Nosy Be, a popular island resort with sheltered seas and big-game fishing. Endangered golden bamboo lemurs live in the forested hills of Ranomafana National Park, while geckos and chameleons can found in Masoala National Park.
