For those of you who live outside the Federal Territory, you can also take the same day off and have a 5-day extended weekend. Not bad either!
#4 A 4 or 5 days holiday before the onset of Ramadan
Labour Day is celebrated on May 1 and in 2019, it falls on a Wednesday. You can take two days off on Thursday (May 2) and Friday (May 3) and enjoy a 5-day break. This will be good rest for you as the following Monday will be the start of Ramadan – the fasting month for Muslims. If you are working in the states of Johor, Kedah, or Malacca, the first day of Ramadan is another public holiday for you to enjoy. That makes it six days of holiday!

#10 Utilise your year’s quota of leaves by going on a Christmas vacation
We know that Christmas this year hasn’t even arrived but that won’t stop us from planning for next year’s Christmas! Especially when December is the month when many employees go on a holiday to exhaust their year’s quota of annual leaves. For 2019, Christmas will fall on a Wednesday. Make it a season to be jolly by taking the following two days off and turn it into a 5-day vacation instead!
