Oh yes, you’ve read it right. According to the Associated Press, Warner Bros. is cracking down on unauthorized Harry Potter themed festivals, dinner parties, and stores. Making many fans out there disappointed and frustrated.
Apparently, it’s now prohibited to use any "names, places, or objects" associated with the series, it includes everything except broad concepts such as a festival in Philadelphia changes their festival to a vaguer name, “wands and wizards” theme. Warner Bros is doing this to protect the trademark.
So far, it seems like is crackdown only made it to the States and the UK, we’re not sure about other countries yet.
