Laundry’s Battle Of The Bands Competition 

Laundry @ The Curve is calling on local music talents to showcase their unique sounds and music skills in Laundry’s Battle of the Bands 2015 competition. 

The first series of the competition, beginning on March 26, 2015, is now open for registration to all non-professional musicians and those without a recording contract to their names. Those interested to participate in this competition are required to record and post their songs or videos on Facebook and tag Laundry Bar. Both original compositions and covers are accepted, as long as the sound and visual quality meet the requirements of the panel of judges. 

Ten bands will then be selected to battle it out at Laundry@ The Curve on 26 March 2015 in front of a live audience while a panel of judges which includes Darren Teh, lead guitar and vocal for pop-rock group An Honest Mistake, as well as a singer-songwriter Nick Davis deliberate on their performances.

The winning band will receive the Grand Prize which consists of a one-track recording deal by Pulse Soundworks - inclusive of producing, recording and promotion of the track, a RM1,000 Vans cash voucher sponsored by Vans Malaysia, either a Cort G200 Electric Guitar, a Cort AD810 Acoustic Guitar or a Bun Bun Ukulele from The Guitar Store, as well as a Rotosound guitar strings for each member of the winning band, four pairs of drum sticks courtesy of Heartbeat Drumstick, Chaswood food vouchers worth RM300 and exclusive t-shirts and hoodies from Free Range Concept for each member of the winning band. The winning band will also be invited to be part of the annual Laundry Music Marathon lineup, where they have the opportunity to perform on the same stage as top local music bands.
