New China Visa Rules To Help Chinese “Return Home”

According to an article reported by China Daily, a new rule is announced for ethnic Chinese living outside of China (Chinese Malaysians included) will be able to apply for a China visa that allows multiple visit up to five years from February 2018 onwards.

Previously, the China visa only allows multiple visit up to one year for Malaysians. This makes it very convenient for those who loves visiting China as we know applying for visa in general can be quite a hassle.

The Chinese government states that this initiative aims to encourage overseas Chinese to “return home” as well as for the convenience for these group of people to visit their families, do business, cultural exchange, and run personal errands in China. Additionally, another good news is that the Chinese government is also prolonging the validity period of residency permits for ethnic Chinese from three to five years.
