Did you know that the second-largest city of Japan hosted a weeklong festival dedicated to our lovable yellow Pokemon character? They called it “Pikachu Tairyou Hassei Chu” meaning “An Outbreak of Pikachus”. The festival was in conjunction of the latest Pokemon movie, “Pikachu, kore nan no kagi?” that was released in cinemas on July 2014 in Japan.
There were more than 50 Pikachus dancing congos around Yokohama while more that 1000 mascots turned up in 14 different locations around the city for photo opportunities with tourist and Pokemon fans.
Watching their big bodies and tiny feets taking the escalators and squeezing themselves in a lift is just too cute!
[Announcement!] They will be invading Dongdeamun Design Plaza in Seoul, Korea on the 15th & 16th November 2014 from 2pm to 6pm!
