Specifically built for hosting 14 speed skating competition in the 2018 Winter Olympic, it has a double track of 400m rink and a capacity of 8000 viewer seats. Also, ready in March 2017, it has two floors aboveground and two levels underground.
This indoor arena is one of the two venues for the 2018 Winter Olympics ice hockey events. It will also host the 2018 Winter Paralympics’ ice sledge hockey competition. Located at the coastal city of Gangneung, it cost 108 billion won for construction and it was completed in March 2017.
This stadium was completed in December 2016 and it was also used and open to public for the test competition happened in February this year. It was done in preparation for the 2018 Winter Olympic. It has 4 floors aboveground and 2 levels underground consist with two ice rinks. It has the capacity to take in 12000 viewers. This stadium will host 5 figure skating events and 8 short track speed skating events.
This stadium was once used for the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games, the 1999 Asian Winter Games, and the 2009 World Women’s Curling Championships. Now, renovation has been done and prepped to host 3 curling events for the 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. It has 4 floors aboveground and 1 level underground with the capacity to take in 3500 spectators.
This stadium is built on the grounds of Catholic Kwandong University in Gangneung, thus, the reason for its current name. However, the current plan for this stadium is that it will be turned into a public ice skating arena once they are done hosting ice hockey events for the 2018 Winter Olympics. Nevertheless, this stadium has a modern built to it and it has the capacity of seating 6000 spectators.
