To everyone who is obsessed with the deliciously frothy milk tea and addictively chewy tapioca boba pearls, listen up! gateway@klia2 will be hosting the very first ‘BOBA Challenge’ in the country every Friday to Sunday from 26nd July- 11th August, 2019 and is inviting all bubble tea enthusiasts to participate in the challenge. 

Ms. Selena Chua, CEO, Retail of WCT Malls said, “Bubble tea has seen a big surge in popularity in recent times and in efforts to further amplify the bubble-tea craze in the country, we have embarked to launch the first of its kind -- which is the ‘Guess the Bubble Tea Brand Challenge’. We are extremely grateful to have our tenants - Gong Cha, Xing Fu Tang, T Bun, Wincaa, Chatime, Tealive and Regiustea who have collaborated with us to bring all the bubble tea fans together. Each brand has its own ‘unique’ taste and focus, which include cheese foam flavor, black sugar flavor, roasted milk flavor, as well as refreshing fruit tea flavor, giving the customers plenty of choices to choose the flavor they fancy the most." 

The challenge will take place at gateway@klia2. Die-hard bubble tea fans have to taste seven bubble teas representing different brands and guess the accurate name. Each contestant can participate in the contest three times in a day. Participants will be competing for a lot of free cups of bubble tea; literally as the winner will be awarded free supply of this swoon-worthy drink for a year*. 

The competition is open to all Malaysians, expats and international travelers who hold a valid National Registration Identification Card (NRIC) or passport and are above the age of 18 years. To participate, visitors need to register themselves at the contest booth located on level 2, arrivals, near H&M.
