TO SAVE TIME FOR【CHINA】VISA SUBMISSION, MAKE ONLINE APPOINTMENT NOW!

?? ?? ?? Ever since opening its doors to the world in the 70’s, China has experienced a period of rapid growth and change. These days, more and more tourists from around the world who visit China are flocking to the ancient country to experience its rich history and perhaps catch a glimpse of its bright future. 

For Malaysian passport holder, for all purpose of your travel, you need a China Visa which is required to apply before your departure. A smooth China Visa application process requires clear understanding of the step-by-step lodging procedure as well as the necessary set of the documents and an online appointment is strongly recommended to save your time! Follow below 3 simple steps that we've summarise for Tourist L type visa in the application. If your intention to travel China beyond tourism activities, please visit here for more information. 
Tips: It is advisable that you apply for a visa one month before your intended date of entry into China!

(1) Passport
a. Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and with blank visa page.
Note: Passport is very important document for travel, hence, passport with water stain/ foldable
vestige especially passport cover is not allow during submission. 
b. Photocopy of the passport's data page (the data page with photo & signature), observation page and the photo page if it is separate.
Note: For children below 18 years old, photocopy of birth certificate with parent's identity (IC) or passport copy is required)

(2) Visa Application Form and Photo
a. One completed Visa Application Form (2013 version) (Download Here) - (if handwritten, it must be fill by Gel / Ink Pen only)
b. Recent 6 months colour passport photos (bare-head, full face, clear) against a white background (size: 48mm x 33mm) as sample below,
Note: White clothes with white background is strictly prohibited!

 

(3) Travel itinerary, flight ticket, hotel confirmation
Please use A4 size papers to print or photocopy all the documents for application.

To ensure a smooth operation and smooth out the flow of applicants over the working day, the Visa Centre strongly encourages you to make an appointment well in advance for submitting a visa application. Based on experience, the submission peak hours are between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., so please try to avoid this period if possible. The Visa Centre allots a certain number of appointments in each 30-minute timeslot.

Instructions for online appointment

  • Application by appointment is one of the services provided for the applicant’s convenience to arrange his or her schedule and to save time at the Visa Centre. With an appointment, the applicant can submit the application directly to the dedicated counter at the Visa Centre.
  • Application via a booked appointment is one of the convenient services offered by the Visa Centre. However, it is not mandatory. An applicant may choose it according to his or her needs. The Visa Centre still welcomes walk-in applicants during office hours.
  • The website for booking appointments will be 24 hours available and there is no charge for booking appointments online.
  • If you have no access to internet or you do not know how to use a computer, you may ask your relatives or friends to book the online appointment for you.
  • If you have successfully booked, please come to the Visa Centre at least 10 minutes before the booking time. You should submit the application on the time you booked.  If you fail to meet the time, you should book a new appointment.
  • If you want to change the appointment date or time, please cancel the booked appointment in the booking system and book a new one.
  • You are advised to use Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0 as your web browser.

Upon arrival, either show a printout of the appointment information or e-mail or simply mention your name, and you will then be given a queue number on a first-come-first- served basis. This should guarantee a wait of only a few minutes. 
Visiting the Centre without an appointment may cause a longer waiting time, it could properly up to hours of waiting time depend on load & crowd of application. 
On the day of your visit to the Centre, please be punctual. 

(2) Check! Upon submission, you will:

  • Obtain a queue number for submitting your application; please wait for your number to be called
  • Submit your application at the counter designated for handling the particular queue number
  • Receive a pick-up form, which is a receipt showing the information of your application and expected date for collection
  • Please double check all the particulars on the pick-up form; should you have any questions about the information printed on it, please contact the staff immediately.
  • Always carefully retain the pick-up form as it must be shown when collecting your passport

(1) Collection!
The date for collecting your passport is shown on the pick-up form issued to you on the day of application. Should there be any delay in processing and the passport cannot be returned to you as scheduled, the Visa Centre staff will notify you as soon as possible.  Otherwise, please go to the China Visa Application Center to make payment and collect your passport with the pick-up form in a timely manner. Please note that all the passports overdue for collection will be returned to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General after the expiry of a visa, or 365 days of the decision by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General to issue or refuse the visa application.

You pay all the fees on the day of collection.
Please prepare the fee according to your application as table below

(2) Upon receive your passport with visa, please carefully check all the particulars, such as your name, birth date, passport number, validity, number of entries, duration of stay on your visa, and let the staff know immediately if there is any problem. Failure to do so may lead to serious consequences.
