They have all kinds of flavour to satisfy your tastebuds. It’s everywhere along the streets, mostly paired along with shops that sells almonds cookies and other food souvenirs. Try finding them at Taipa Cunha Street.
They are pretty much steamed or double boiled cow’s milk. These silky smooth desserts served in hot or cold as well as in various toppings and flavours such as red bean or ginger. Try the ones in Yee Shun Milk Company along the street of Senado Square.
Known as Ngau Jap in Cantonese, is a delicacy in Macau and Hong Kong. The usual ingredients would include cow’s intestines, pancreas, stomach and lungs. It comes in a bowl mouth-watering gravy with lingering smell of goodness. Try finding it at the street stall along Macau’s main street of Avenida Almeida Ribeiro (San Ma Lo), from Pier 16 walking towards Senado Square. At night would be the best time to hunt them down.
They call it the Chinese donut. It’s made with eggs, flour and sugar. The locals love it, totally delicious and fluffy on the inside. Try them at Nam Ping Café, one of the oldest café in Macau. You may find them at 54 Rua de Cinco de Outubro.
Or Dan Zhi in Cantonese, this simply delight comes with a thick egg patty sandwiched in regular white breads. There’s something about it that keeps people coming back for more. Again, you may find them at Nam Ping Café, along the street of Rua de Cinco de Outubro.
Crock pot is known for improving the flavours of… pretty much anything. Thus, get your coffee fix by trying these crock pot coffee and milk tea as they are really smooth and light. Try them at the 3rd floor food court of Mercado De S.Domingos Municipa Complex.
Regarded as the king of local specialty, one of the top three souvenirs to buy in Macau. These traditional cookies are sold in most pastry shops around Taipa, Senado Square and etc. They are really easy to find, almost available at every corner of Macau.
EGG TARTS! Flaky crust with creamy custard filling that just melts in your mouth, it’s definitely a must try. Highly suggest trying them at Lord Stow’s Bakery over in Coloane Town Square. You won’t regret it!
