TransAsia Airways ATR72-600 Plane, flight GE235 en route from Taipei Sung Shan (TSA) to Kinmen Shang-Yi Airport (KNH), in the Fujian Province, crashed less than 3 minutes after take-off.
According to AirlineReporter.com, the aircraft was only 10 months old at the time of the crash. The plane came down in Keelung rever in Taipei with 53 passengers and five crew members on board. So far, it’s reported of nine confirmed deaths, 18 injured, and 31 people who were unaccounted for according to Taiwanese Civil Aviation Authority in a press conference. 170 emergency staffs – including ambulances, fire engines and watercraft – have been deployed to assist in the rescue operation.
