If you are planning to visit New Zealand, be sure to note that you’ll need to provide your password to your electronic devices and allow customs officials to examine them under a new law that a civil liberties group on Thursday condemned as a grave invasion of privacy.
As part of an update of 22-year-old customs legislation, the law was made effective on October 1. This new law also gives customs officials authority to copy data found on searched devices.

The new law was said to be necessary as according to Customs Minister Kris Faafoi, "A lot of the organised crime groups are becoming a lot more sophisticated in the ways they're trying to get things across the border.”
So be ready to give up all your info when travelling to New Zealand.
