Have you heard? The world’s first Monopoly hotel will be opening in Kuala Lumpur in 2019! Yes it’s true. It’s announced earlier this month that M100 Holdings Sdn Bhd (M101) and Hasbro, the American multinational play and entertainment company, are working together to build a hotel known as Monopoly Mansion by Sirocco.

This 5-star hotel is reportedly to consist of 255 rooms and will be located at the heart of KL, Bukit Bintang. It’ll also feature a 1920’s Art Deco design that gives out an overall Gatsby style.

Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, Minister of Tourism and Culture said that building this thematic hotel could help boost the tourism industry in Malaysia as millennial these days are looking for experiences that are memorable and hopes that the Monopoly hotel would encourage more tourist to stay longer and visit Malaysia more often.
