The Rakyat Post recently published an article announcing a new glass-bottomed bridge to be built in China. It’s mentioned to be the tallest, longest, and arguable the scariest pedestrian bridge in the world.
This glass-bottomed bridge will be completed in the national park that inspired the floating mountains from the James Cameron film Avatar. So far known as the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge will stand 984 feet above the ground, spanning 1,247 feet in length and 20 feet wide. The bridge can accommodate up to 800 people and of course, what’s a tallest bridge without featuring the world’s highest bungee jump. Designer, a Tel Aviv-based architectural firm Haim Dotan Ltd. also envision the bridge as a dramatic catwalk for fashion shows.
It’s further added that the design of the bridge is meant to work seamlessly with nature, make the least impact on its surroundings and give visitors the sense of floating in mid-air.
It’s will be as invisible as possible. Funzzzz…
