WE TRIED 4 DIFFERENT VIETJET SKYBOSS BUSINESS LOUNGES!

We Tried 4 Different Vietjet Skyboss Business Lounges!

I had the opportunity to fly with Vietjet Skyboss last month for my six days trip in Vietnam. It was my first time flying with Vietjet as well as my first time going to business lounges while waiting for my flights. If you are interested to read about my flight review, check them out here.

Before my trip, I actually did a lot of research about Vietjet’s Skyboss lounges and not much info came up. The ones I’ve found are pretty old content, showcasing how Skyboss lounges used to be. Trust me, it has changed so much. The Skyboss lounges now are so much better and does make you feel rather privileged to have all the food, drinks, as well as a comfortable place to chill.

Depending on which airport you are, the lounges are slightly different. Some had more food and beverage choices but the food provided were overall rather delicious. All had pretty good WiFi service, a bunch of plug points for you to charge your gadgets, as well as a business corner where you could use if you don’t have your laptop with you.

In a nutshell, I had a blast experiencing all the business lounges that comes with Skyboss and here are my thoughts on the four lounges that I’ve tried.

#1 Plaza Premium Lounge

Location: KLIA, Malaysia

Everytime I fly previously, I’ve always wanted to go in to this lounge because, well, it’s premium after all. So to enter for the first time felt so surreal. Surprisingly, it was filled with people! Even though the place was big, it didn’t feel as luxurious as how I imagined it to be. It could be just the Malaysian culture as tables are not cleared quick enough and some food were refilled only after being asked. However, the food, such as chicken rice and noodles soup, where insanely good. For good coffee, I suggest going over to the beverage counter instead of getting them from the Nescafe machine. Also, if you are up for it, they have Carlsberg on tap served in their unique stem glass that makes your beer taste extra good than in other regular glass. I didn’t try the desserts as they didn’t look that appetising.

#2 Le Saigonnais SASCO Business Lounge

Location: Tan Son Nhat Domestic Airport (Ho Chi Minh)

It wasn’t very hard to find this lounge as the domestic airport was a little smaller. Though, for a domestic airport, this lounge is huge. There were quite a number of people but it didn’t feel as congested as the lounge in KLIA as the tables were spaced out pretty well from each other. When it comes to food, they had a little more selection and it was mostly Vietnamese delights. I’m in love with their spring rolls, both fried and fresh. They served pho too, it’s not bad but it has a more international flavour as the beef taste or aroma is not as strong. Drinks selection were decent with a choice of Vietnamese coffee or espresso based.

Some unique features of this lounge offer are shoe shine/ cleaner machine and a secret hidden massage chair. Yes, only one unit available. There was a guy hogging the massage chair the entire time I was there. Other than that, the service was amazing. Tables were constantly cleared and cleaned, counters were wiped all the time, food and beverage were constantly filled, and if any staff have the extra time, they will even clean the walls. Man, I love this lounge.

#3 Business Class Lounge

Location: Da Nang Domestic Airport

This lounge is as little less luxurious as it wasn’t as big of an airport as the other airports I’ve been to this trip. The lounge area was big, comfortable, and clean. The WiFi connection was good and it was really quiet as there weren’t many customers. There were only two staff members attending this lounge which one of it, is a cleaner. They were polite and did their job well.

They food and beverage selections here were pretty small. Famous 3in1 instant Vietnamese coffee, instant pho packets, few types of fruits, and white bread. Nothing too fancy with a local twist. One local dish that caught our attention was Banh Cuon, rice noodles with a variety of toppings. The toppings are different from the ones you’ll find on the streets but it was something new to us and it was yummy.

#4 Rose Business Lounge

Location: Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh)

This is quite a modern lounge with an extremely beautiful outdoor view of the airport. It’s bright, it’s peaceful, it’s comfortable, and it’s always clean. Similarly to the other business lounges in Vietnam, all the staff are constantly doing something. Either cleaning the tables, wiping the counters, rearranging the items, refilling food and beverages, etc. They do it fast, they do it quietly, and they do it well.

Food wise, they have much more of an international cuisine. Dishes such as dim sum, bacon and potatoes, congee, can be found here. Of course, they have something soupy here, their noodles were surprisingly not pho but we believe to be a pork noodle sort of dish, tasted wonderful for people who are tired of pho after a couple days in Vietnam. The variety of drinks were great, they have premium alcohol, juices, coffee and more. WiFi connections were strong, overall, a really nice lounge.
