Remember how we gave you the exact location to Bun Cha Huong Lien restaurant in Hanoi, where Barack Obama and Anthony Bourdain sat and chat like regular dudes two years back. Our dreams of dining on the same table and chairs is now crushed as the restaurant owner decides to encased them in glass!
The reason for this is to preserve the memory of Mr Obama, according to the owner. Plus, it seems that some tourist are amused by it and are happy to snap selfies with the encased table with clean bowls, plates, chopsticks and condiment jars.
Vietnamese do practise such culture that are usually reserved for the country’s top leaders, such as Ho Chi Minh but according to BBC, it’s believed to be the first time a foreign dignitary has been remembered in such a way.
While some loved the idea, some don’t. Even Anthony Bourdain shared his unsure feeling on his Instagram.
Lols, well, you still can visit the restaurant if you’d like, we have the info here.
