ITINERARY / SCHEDULE
DAY 1 - Kuching (Arrival)
Arrive at Kuching International Airport, pick-up by driver or tour guide and begin Kuching City Tour (4hr). We will visit Civic Centre Tower(Passby), China town (Padungan Street), remains as one of Kuching's identity with its architecture, culture and people. Old State Mosque, the present structure was built in 1968 to replace an original wooden one built in 1852. Best seen from the river, its gilded cupolas make it one of the city’s most striking landmarks, particularly at sunset. Tua Pek kong Temple, It is the oldest temple in the city and formed a part of the Kuching Heritage Trail. Photo stop at White Cat Monument, a symbol of Kuching City, is a cute and auspicious statue that everyone must not miss for a photo.Visit also the most popular meeting place in the city Kuching Waterfront (Old Court house, Charles Brooke Monument), borneo culture museum, and the Daru Hana Bridge. Finally drop off Main Bazaar for shopping. After that, transfer to hotel. *Remarks for Hotel Accommodation in Beijing: All hotels standard check in time is 1400-1500pm afternoon. DAY 2 - Kuching
After breakfast, proceed to Semenggoh Orang Utan Centre.-located 30 minutes drive from Kuching City. It is a wildlife sanctuary and a forest reserve various types of exotic animals and plants of Borneo and the best place in Sarawak for sighting Orang Utan-The Wild Man of the Jungle. En-route back to Kuching visit to the Borneo House Museum - is an interactive 3D and educational museum in Sarawak. After lunch, visit to Sarawak Cultural Village - Which located at scenic foothill of Mt. Santubong 45 minutes drive from Kuching City Center. Covering about 14 acres, the Sarawak Cultural Village is a miniature of the various ethnic groups' traditional customs and cultural life in Sarawak. The village features seven different ethnic houses, each designed to reflect unique cultural arts. A 45-minute traditional dance performance in the theatre will leave you with a lasting impression. On the way back, Shopping stop at Kek Lapis Factory. Remark: Orang Utan is wildlife under human conservation but beyond human control, and tour always subject to weather condition and other factors. Hence, there is no guarantee that visitors will see them. No refund value of any opportunity of viewing of wildlife. Transfer Travel by Coach or Van (depend of group size). DAY 3 - Kuching
Breakfast at the Hotel, proceed to Gunung Gading National Park, it is a main conservation area for the Rafflesia, the world’s largest flower, which can grow up to one meter in diameter(Subject to availability) and Amorphillus, world’s largest flower on a single stem. The park also offers a number of attractive walking trails, leading through primary rainforest and some of the most beautiful waterfalls. It was a favorite spot for our White Rajah family to invite their visitors for an outing. If time allow, you can swimming at one of the spectacular waterfall. OR After breakfast, proceed to Bako National Park. About an hour's drive from Kuching city, followed by a 30-minute boat ride, you will reach Bako National Park, located on one of the earliest developed lands in Sarawak, covering an area of approximately 2,742 hectares. The park is home to a wide variety of rare and unique animals and plants, including national treasures such as the proboscis monkey, silvered leaf monkey, white-breasted kingfisher, hornbill, pigmy pitcher plant, mosses, ant-plants, and more, making Bako National Park famous worldwide. The park is also known for having seven distinct ecosystems, each with its unique forest types. The plants and animals in these different environments have developed specialized survival strategies, especially in the mangrove ecosystem, which is truly awe-inspiring. For those who enjoy studying nature, birdwatching, and observing plant and animal ecology, Bako is an ideal choice. Over time, the forces of sea erosion and wind have shaped unique and striking sandstone formations, dramatic cliffs, picturesque beaches, and the vast South China Sea, all combining with the park’s flora and fauna to create a landscape that is both beautiful and extraordinary. DAY 4 - Kuching (Departure)
