You can enjoy free time until your tour starts. Please, check the informative posters placed at the hotel reception area which have all the information about your upcoming services such as meeting place, time and the guide’s name.

TODAY´S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour in Athens. Evening transfer.
We will enjoy a panoramic tour of the city with a local guide which includes the Presidential Palace, the Panathinaikos stadium where the first modern Olympic games were held, the national library, the bustling squares of the center; the new neighborhoods that emerged after the 2004 Olympic games. The tour will end at the Acropolis site (entry not included).
In the evening we include a transfer to the PLAKA area, a place full of small Greek taverns where you can also enjoy this country´s folklore.
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT: Peloponnese region. Corinth canal. Archaeological site. Dinner included.
We travel to the Peloponnese region. We make a brief stop next to the Corinth Channel, an impressive work of art from the end of the nineteenth century.
We continue through the mountains towards Tripoli, capital of the Arcadia region. Stop in this active city and time for a stroll around the area of the Plaza Areos with its cafes and restaurants.
We continue our route to Olympia where we will visit the archaeological site (entrance and visit with a local guide included). The first Olympic Games were held here in 776 B.C., where athletes from all over Greece and its colonies participated. Highlights include the Temple of Zeus, the stadium, the gymnasium, and the arena.
We continue to PATRAS, the third most populous city in Greece, a lively port city with a remarkable medieval fortress. Its cathedral is the largest church in Greece and next to it, the small church of St. Andrew is a place of pilgrimage. Dinner included.
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT: travel through central Greece and Epirus
After breakfast we take the Antirrio River bridge, a spectacular suspension bridge that connects the Peloponnese with the Greek mainland. We travel through the regions of Central Greece and Epirus.
IGOUMENITSA, arrival in this port town, time for a walk before taking the ferry from where we embark to the beautiful island of Corfu. A one-and-a-half-hour cruise in the waters of the Ionian Sea off the coast of Albania, we suggest having lunch during the crossing. On the island of Corfu, the pearl of the Ionian Sea, we visit its capital KERKYRA, which preserves its Venetian-style historic center intact. We also visit Kanoni, a beautiful Byzantine church on a small island. We embarked again on our way back to mainland Greece.
NOTE: Accommodation in Igoumenitsa or nearby. Sometimes, due to the limited accommodation options in this city, the hotel may be located in a nearby town.
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT: High mountains in northern Greece. Fantastic landscapes in the Meteoras region.
After breakfast we travel through high mountains through the Epirus to METSOVO, a picturesque and touristic Balkan village between mountains. This area, isolated by the mountains from the rest of Greece, retains its distinct culture strongly influenced by the Slavic and Turkish. Time for a stroll through its streets with its traditional architecture of stone houses, red tile roofs and carved wooden balconies.
We continue to the region of Thessaly. We stop at KASTRAKI, a picturesque village with beautiful views over the valley of the Meteoras. Time for lunch.
We visit the METEORAS, an impressive place declared a World Heritage Site. The word "Metéora" comes from the Greek and means "suspended in the air" or "in the sky." The presence of monasteries on top of some of the immense rock formations is impressive. For centuries, monks and hermits sought tranquility and solitude in these isolated places. We´ll visit the whole valley and include the entrance to one of the most famous monasteries.
Arrival at KALAMBAKA. Dinner included.
NOTE: We will visit Orthodox monasteries. Provide appropriate clothing (women will have to wear skirts ( long-sleeved dress that is not suggestive or revealing ) that will be provided to them upon arrival at the monastery). Also plan comfortable shoes. You´ll have to climb a lot of steps!!
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Pleasant Mediterranean. Very beautiful landscapes in the Delphi region.
We travel through Thessaly towards Central Greece. Spectacular landscapes over the sea, arriving in Delphi. We include admission to the beautiful archaeological complex that overlooks the Gulf of Corinth, a place full of magic. Time for lunch.
We travel amidst mountains; Mount Parnassus dominates the landscape.
Osios Loukas Monastery. Arrival at one of the most beautiful Byzantine monasteries in Greece, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its magnificent 11th century mosaics are incredible.
We continue towards ATHENS. Arrival in the evening.
NOTE: the order of the program of the day may vary, with the Osios Loukas Monastery taking place first and then Delphi.
After breakfast, end of our services. Hotel standard check out time 10am.
